Basic species, "level" rules, history, creation stories, etc.

Alright I'm going to start with the basic species Hierarchy...

Immortals
-The original formations of energy in the universe. Very diverse in abilities, can only be killed by something else that has the potential not to die. When they do die the energy that allowed them not to die reforms as various gods and goddesses.


Gods
- Created by the death of an immortal or the mating of a god and a goddess. Can be killed by any means, but their bodies will reform in a human host and they will be reincarnated. When a god is created/born a weapon or item is formed with them. This weapon contains their essence. When this weapon is broken the essence escapes causing the god to disappear. The escaped energies then infect mortal beings and cause mutations such as vampyrism, lycanthropy, zombies, etc. When reforged the god is reformed but considerably weaker than before.


Demigods
- Simply put the product of a god or immortal and a mortal creature mating. Same death rules as an Immortal, however, their energy infects mortals in the same manner of a god's broken weapon upon death instead of forming new creatures.


Demi-Immortals
- Created by the breaking of a God's weapon or a demigod's death. The amount of energy in the beings is just high enough to sustain eternal life, unless murdered. They tend to be able to gather energy from others through eating. This energy is balanced in a number of ways some of these include what mortals call magick and they're ability to infect mortals with their particular kind of energy and for example turn someone into a Vampire or Werewolf. These beings can also mate to create others of their species.

No one knows exactly how everything came into being. All that is known for sure is that around the same time that the cosmic energies of the universe converged to make the planets, the stars and all of the elements came the original four conscious beings of the universe, two male and two female.

At first they were nothing more than conscious formations of energy that could communicate with one another non-verbally through what can only be explained as telekinesis. In this form they could not easily interact with the universe around them, and over time became curious as to what they could do if they could. So as any curious being would they helped one another manifest themselves into physical form by causing the protons and electrons that formed their energy bonds to bond with one another. For what may or may not appear to be obvious reasons the form they chose was human in nature with all the aspects arms, legs, brain, reproductive organs, and and the like. After doing so they settled upon earth and began exploring the vastness of the watery and rocky landscape, there was no other life at this point.

After a time one of them grew pregnant. The woman's name was Boann, the father of the child was Dagda. Upon birth, of her son Bajif Ishtar, Boann was overjoyed. In fact she was so overjoyed that the other woman, Cedwin, to become jealous. This jealousy never quite ended even after she convinced Rita Gawr, the other male if it is not clear, to help in bearing a child of her own. Over time this jealousy split the once friends into "warring" clans. War was then not as it is now, however, this original feud is the cause of all war amongst Immortals and immortal-like creatures to this day.

Now, at this point in history death was not a possibility. All matter was bonded by energy and there was no key to breaking this. Cedwin decided that she wanted to be rid of Dagda once and for all to force Boann to experience her jealousy. (At this point every bit of the war was Cedwin attempting to make Boann jealous and Boann not even noticing or caring, just experiencing sadness because Cedwin would not speak to her most of the time. The males had little to do with any of it except attempting to allay their mate's feelings.) Rita being a good mate and only wanting his beloved Cedwin to be happy through himself into trying to destroy the bonds of the energy that kept the immortals together. One day he discovered a way too, the method however affected all of their kind leaving them susceptible to being killed by another immortal creature. Knowing this he asked Dagda to go on a walk with him. He told him that he wished to discuss a plan to bring the wives back together like the days of old. During the walk Rita slipped behind Dagda and using a rock he had sharpened into a knife stabbed Dagda through the heart. He fell to the ground and dissipated, leaving behind four weapons.

From these four weapons Zeus and Hera from the Greek Pantheon were formed, and Tuatha
and Bealtaine from the Celtic pantheon were born. From these four life was created as we know it, the animals, plants, and all things mortal.

The rest for now shall remain unwritten because well there will be a more in depth story, possibly book detailing all of this.
